[accordion-item title="Which wheel is suitable for my trailer / caravan?"]
It is of course important to choose the right wheel for your trailer. To do this you need to know the wheel specifications of your trailer. You can then choose a wheel that meets these specifications. The tire often contains such a code: 195/50R13 86N. This includes the specifications of the wheel. Below we explain how to read the code.
155/70 R13 100*4
195 – The number represents the width of the tire in mm.
50 – This number represents the height of the tire. The height of the tire is expressed as a percentage of the width of the tire.
R – This letter indicates the type of the tire. There are two types: a radial tire (R) or a diagonal tire (D).
13 – The number represents the diameter of the rim expressed in inches.
100*4 – The number represents the pitch size of the rim. The number 100 indicates how far apart the bolt holes are. The number 4 indicates how many bolt holes are present on the rim. Below you can read how to measure the pitch of your rim.
There are a few more terms you should take into account when choosing a tire.
The hub hole – The hub hole is the hole in the center of the rim. This is placed over the axle. The hub hole is expressed as a diameter.
ET value – The ET value indicates the distance at which the rim is within the wheel arch. An ET value of 20 means that the bolt holes are 20 mm on the outside of the center of the rim.

[accordion-item title="How do I measure the pitch of my rim?"]
The pitch size consists of the number of bolt holes and the pitch circle. So you simply count the number of bolt holes on the rim. You measure the pitch circle by measuring the distance between two opposite bolt holes from the center. Does your rim have five bolt holes? Then the bolt holes are not opposite each other. In this case you need to draw an imaginary line that goes through the center of the bolt holes. You measure the distance between the center of the bolt hole and the center of where the imaginary bolt hole would be. Most rims have four or five bolt holes. The pitch of rims with four bolt holes is also called Opel pitch (100*4). The pitch of rims with five bolt holes is also called a Mercedes pitch (112*5).
